One of my favorite parts about being a photographer is getting to play around with my couples. This particular shoot was a product shoot for Cordalife, and although much of the shoot was based around their sandals, I loved having the second half of the shoot to just be about them! Eliza and Trent jumped in last minute to do this shoot and I could not have been happier that it was them that I was working with. They had THE BEST most positive attitude. And can we talk about their love????? Their sweet gestures towards each other were so genuine and real and it was a love that I honestly didn’t know quite existed. Their love is true down to their core.

This collaboration. The best thing in EVERY way. Every once in awhile I try to plan a shoot that will be just for me and for my growth. I always have a goal with these types of shoots and for this shoot I wanted to challenge myself to shoot a bridal as much inside of a van as possible. I knew it would make me put them in different situations and would force me to work with varied lighting situations. Well, it was SO much fun and Shae and Kourtney were just a blast to work with. They were actually engaged during this shoot and JUST got married! Woot!

Shout out to my amazing collaboration partners, Arvo with the sweet van, Janay Marie with her gorgeous dress design, and Bailey Schiess for making our models look AMAZE. These types of shoots are just my favorite. If there are any photogs reading this (or creatives in general) I would totallyy recommend making personal projects a priority. You come out of them refreshed, inspired, and hopefully with a renewed sense of why you do what you do.

Make sure to also check out the video we did at this collaboration by going HERE.

OK. So, this shoot. I just absolutely die. Although I love a beautiful background (and believe me, Utah unlimited resources in that arena) there is something so meaningful in stripping down the background and eliminating all distractions from the raw emotion of love. That’s why I always love when couples request a studio shoot or in home session. Don’t get me wrong, I love a good adventure or epic location as much as the next girl, but you can’t deny the emotion that comes from a shoot like this. Dyalan and Dillon were so sweet with each other and totally leaned into the moment, WHICH is the best. Lean into the moment!!

What do you get when you cross, Shannon and Hadley, an Alta Moda Bridal gown, and this gorgeous Huntsville location?! PERFECTION, people, perfection. 1). Shannon and Hadley are just THE cutest humans. They have the best energy and vibe and every time I shoot them I am just constantly swooning behind the camera. Their love is invigorating and you just can’t help but be happy in its presence! Secondly, this location is just to die. Huntsville’s rolling green hills with the beautiful mountains in the backgroud are the perfect contrast to her AMAZING gown and their sweet love.

Also, special thanks to Lexi Harker for being an INCREDIBLE hair and makeup artist. You’re the best, girl! After taking a look through these pictures head over to my video page HERE and watch the video from this session. It’s one of my favorites!

First of all – if you didn’t catch part I of this sesh, check it out here. Second of all – BEST OF BOTH WORLDS – I got to prance around the outdoors with these two and then got settled in to an intimate at home session. Seriously – THE best. What an amazing idea and I mean just how sweet are they?! The looks exchanged between these two were TO DIE and were enough to make me squeal behind my lens. Please give me all the adventures and all the at home sesh’s. I love love love them. Don’t get me wrong, getting all gussied up for a fancy pants session is equally as dreamy, but there’s something so romantic about a plain white tee and snuggles on your living room floor.

A few months ago I was asked to shoot Utah’s fashion week! You guys, the bridal show was insane! Let me tell you, there is NOTHING better than getting to stare at gorgeous dress creations for hours. I feel super lucky to have been asked to shoot it and the best part was seeing dresses I’ve shot before and also dresses that are in the works of projects I will be shooting. I felt so inspired being in a room full of so much talent. The designers are incredible and being able to see it all up close is something I will remember for a long time. I love where my job takes me.

Let’s first talk about this location. UM. SO beautiful. I love, love sand dunes and I love, love sand dunes with beautiful lone trees and I love, love evening light!!! SO, as you can imagine I am mildly obsessed with this shoot. And let’s, secondly, talk about Erich and Catherine! Oh be still my heart. They are my kind of people. Genuine with both other people as well as themselves, so easy going, kind, fun, up for anything, I could go on and ON. We let their love guide this shoot as we wandered in Utah’s beautiful evening light and magic was made. Feeling so grateful for this job!

Also, be sure to check out the video for these two from this shoot. Such a good one, you can find it HERE.

THESE BABES. What a joy to work with. Logan and Amber are one of my favorite types of couples – the couple who wants the fun and freedom of adventurous engagements but the intimate setting of an at home session (part II coming soon). Their love was genuine, easy, fun, playful and oh so sweet. Having an at home session and an adventure session gives a 360 view into a relationship and I loved seeing the two sides to these lovers. Enjoy these sweet pics and then come back to see their at home sesh! It was just as amaze – I’m talkin’ living room floors, plain white tee’s and dream lover looks.

Also, can’t fail to mention that my babe Bailey (@schiessstyles) did Amber’s hair and makeup. Which her hair! I loved.

One of my absolute FAVORITE parts about being a photographer is getting to meet all sorts of amazing people – in fact, it’s the reason I do what I do! However, I also absolutely love getting the chance to photograph the people that are already in my life. Meet Bailey and Blake – two of my husbands and I’s friends. OBSESSED with them and their love. I am so grateful to have them cozy up in front of my camera to help with video footage for my Portland workshop (woot woot!) This session was a super fast 10 minute shoot, thank you Bailey and Blake – you guys are the absolute best!

There are few things I love more in this life than a lacy, off the shoulder dress, an INCREDIBLE flower bouquet and two people adorably and perfectly in love. Their playful energy made capturing their sweet love so meaningful and good. The way they looked at each other, held each other, and laughed together was one of the sweetest things I have seen in a long time and I am so grateful to be the one to capture it all! Everything lined up for this shoot – the weather, her dress against that background, and yes, did I mention their love? It was all perfect. If I had to only shoot them over and over again I would be the happiest.

Okkk so these two! Can they get any more precious if they tried?! After shooting in the clouds and snow for months this little sunny shoot made my heart happy. I do love a good moody shoot, but boy was it refreshing to get some sun flare in my lens! Jessica and Tyler perfectly matched that sunny day. Their lighthearted, carefree personalities were so fun to shoot. The day was filled with giggles, snuggles, smiles from ear to ear and of course some sweet twirls. Thanks for the sun, Utah, and thanks Jessica and Tyler for being your wonderful selves!

If you didn’t catch part one of Tiffany and Garrett’s bridal session, check that out here first! They were so nice we’re blogging it twice! But seriously, this session was the dreamiest and I know I probably say this a lot but I am just so thankful for all the sweet people I get to meet through this lil’ job of mine! I truly feel like I have the best clients EVER. Getting to be surrounded by true love day in and day out makes me feel all sorts of grateful, so thank you thank you to all my past clients. You guys are the BEST. And yes, keep scrolling for more of this sweetness I’ve been blabbering about. Just. Too. Good.
