Jody + Taylor

Smoke bombs, adorable couple, new little bebe?! THE best. If you know me, you know that weddings and couples who are madly in love are my jam. Nothing gives me a rush like a beautiful wedding day. However, that doesn’t mean I don’t love a good maternity session. Since becoming a mother myself a little while back, these sessions have become so much more meaningful to me, especially when it’s for a couple as sweet as Jody and Taylor. Their road to this sweet babe has been long and winding, but I am SO thrilled that their miracle baby is finally here!! I was thrilled to do this little mini session announcing the gender for them. They found out it’s going to be a boy and what better way to announce than a blue smoke bomb?! I love, LOVE being around for moments like these. I have known Jody for a while as I’ve shot her several times for her blog. She is the sweetest human ever and I have loved seeing her the last few weeks as she gave birth to their son!

Mckenna+ Alex | Shot by Brooklyn

This session was like stepping into a whole new world for me. First time shooting at Antelope Island, first time shooting on a new camera, first time shooting with all of Kelsie’s tips and tricks in my head, and WOW. I have never had so much fun with a shoot and been so thrilled with the results! We climbed around on some rocks, repeatedly had to jump over the deep (and sometimes stinky) mud that covered the area, and ended down on the beach with some gorgeous sunset light over the lake. If that wasn’t fun enough, let me just talk about Mckenna and Alex real quick. DREAM CLIENTS. They were so comfortable with letting their love for each other shine through. It was so apparent how happy they are in their relationship, and they were just absolutely adorable with each other. Capturing how in love they are could not have been easier!

Cassidi + Stockton

OK. This session. Pineview Lake, dreamy, creamy light, an insanely fun couple and gorgeous views. Talk about an ideal day. Cassidy and Stockton have been together for years and I am so thrilled that they are tying the knot. Their wedding will be filled with a million smiles and laughs and I couldn’t be more excited. Also, we realized we have a few family connections so that was a surprise and added to the fun of the day!

We headed to Eden and shot in the field just off of Pineview Lake and then ended down by the beach. Cassidi and Stockton were literally game to do anything – and I mean ANYTHING. They were THE most fun loving couple and basically, in short, we had a blast. We ran, and spun and played and it was just the greatest thing ever.  Give me all the couples that are down to jump in the lake in their clothes and play and laugh to their hears content. They left sopping wet, and had sand all over them with huge smiles on their faces. My kind of client right there.

Manda + Johnny

Oh boy, these two. I found these two lovers after another couple couldn’t make it to my Manzanita, Oregon workshop and it ended up being one of those total blessing in disguises. They were ABSOLUTELY my kind of couple. They were that couple that thrives off of one of my sessions – insanely in love, LOVES to have fun, and one-hundred percent up for whatever. They were so down to play, love, and enjoy every moment of the shoot. Nothing we threw at them was too crazy, too silly, or not doable, which I LOVED and truly made this shoot such a blast. We started in the woods of Manzanita, Oregon which was a total dream come true. Don’t get me wrong, I love me some Salt Flats but was dying to shoot in those dreamy PNW trees. The lighting was perfection and these two fell ride into the rhythm of the shoot.

Alexa + Dillon

This was honestly one of the best weddings I have ever been too (and one of my first Texas Weddings!) Not because it was beautiful, although it was more than gorgeous. But because of the people there on that day; Alexa and Dillon’s friends and family accepted me and took me in as their own.  Not only that, but Alexa and Dillon have a rare love that I feel like we don’t see very often. It is true deep down to the core – I have never felt so much love. It was truly so fun to go through all their photos. I laughed out loud, I cried, I smiled from ear to ear as I relived their special day. These two will forever have a special place in my heart and I hope they know how truly special they are to me. Wish I could relive this day over and over again!!

Manda + Johnny

OK, can we just dive into this creamy, dreamy, beachy shoot on the Oregon coast. Manda and Johnny are possibly the sweetest, most in love couple I have ever shot (I know, I know, big statement, BUT LOOK AT THEM).  Their love seeps out of every nook and cranny and was the perfect pair to this amazing Oregon sunset. Cannon Beach is as amazing as they say and I could not wait to get their cute faces in front of this setting. We pranced and ran in the waves until the sun dipped below the horizon and was just the perfect ending to the perfect day. Plus, they brought their cute pup along and I may or may not instate a new rule that all couples bring their pups to shoots, because you know, dogs.

Mary + Adam

Bridals are my favorite. Shooting a couple’s bridals after their wedding is the absolute best. I LOVE, love, love, love the excuse to get together with my couples after their wedding. It is so fun for me to see the progression from engagements, to wedding to post wedding. I truly do become friends with my couples and so after the wedding can feel like a let down because we don’t see each other as much – cue post wedding bridals! Their wedding was amazing and so it was fun to reminisce. We ventured over to the Salt Flats where the light was perfect per usual, and these two were basking in pure marital bliss. I mean, how cute are they!? They were so playful and I had the best time running around with them. Mary’s dress is AMAZING, and I was just as obsessed with it as I was on her wedding day. It is just so unique and so Mary. Also, speaking of Mary – BABE. Total babe, she was my complete muse during this shoot, she is a legit model and I had so much fun shooting her. Basically, these two are my fav and I am so blessed I got to be a small part in their story!

Hannah + Austin

In my ideal world, I would have couples for their engagements, bridals, and wedding – that way by the time the wedding comes around my couples are super comfortable with me, and my camera. And we’re friends. And let’s be honest, it’s way more fun to be friends with the person that’s with you constantly on your wedding day. WELL, sometimes it doesn’t work out like that for one reason or another. But, I am always SO thankful when couples still choose to work with me in some capacity even if we don’t get the perfect trifecta. Hannah and Austin had inquired for me to shoot their wedding, and I was super bummed to find out I had already was booked that day. They decided to hire me for their bridals regardless and I was SO HAPPY.

These two were so fun to work with. They are both super competitive and wanted to be “my best clients”. And they seriously set the bar high with these pictures. We shot these up in Huntsville area and we got there earlier than I had planned so our light changed quite a bit throughout the session. But when golden hour hit I was so happy behind that lens because the light was truly amazing.

Also, no Bridal session is complete with out florals and the dress!! Huge thanks to Blooms and Branches for their amazing work on Hannah’s bouquet and Off White Bride for creating such a masterpiece.

Simone + Eli

It was so fun to drive to Zion National Park, specifically Kolob Canyon to meet up with Simone and Eli for their adventure couples session. They came from out of state to celebrate their 6 years together.

“My boyfriend and I are taking our first official vacation together in May and it’s also our six year anniversary that week. He is not into the whole engagement, photography sessions whatsoever nor are we engaged. However I think it’ll be a great way to remember our anniversary and first big trip together by doing a couples shoot.”

I couldn’t agree more! I feel like sometimes it’s a common misconception that you need to be engaged, married, or with a baby on the way to get professional photos done, but it is so untrue! That’s why I love anniversary sessions so much regardless of the type. Just two people wanting to create lasting memories during a special time in their lives. AND BONUS if you do them while on a trip! What better way to remember a vacation and time with your lover. I tend to think the ordinary is extraordinary. Document your life! It’s the only want ya got.

Meghan + Lance

Meghan and Lance were the BEST to work with. We had to reschedule a few times due to weather but it ended up being so, so worth it. This whimsical location is literally 2 minutes from my house which is amazing because it happens to be one of my favorites! The birch trees creates gorgeous light and the different terrain offers the variety I love while shooting bridals.

Also, did you notice Meghan’s dress?? Is it not to die for?! I seriously want it for myself. The Perfect Dress always creates such masterpieces and I am always overjoyed when one of my brides chooses to wear them! Flowy bottom gorgeous lace top – could it get more perfect?

Ell + Shaun

I could NOT stop smiling as I was going through Ell and Shaun’s session. Like, seriously, this girl is freaking SUNSHINE. Right?! And, becuase Shaun is the reason for her giant half moon smile, well, just warm fuzzy feelings all around! Ell’s full name is Lauralee, but goes by Ell which is just precious. I LOVE that name — trying to convince my husband to name one of our girls that. 😉 Anyway, these two were so fun loving with each other and they rarely didn’t have those gorgeous smiles on their face. Can we also talk about how these two are total babes? They both love working out and do workouts together that are killer. Ell can do pull ups like no other girl I’ve seen.

We took these photos starting out at the Aspen trees up by Snowbasin and then made our way down into a field in Huntsville. The light was amazing for this whole session and these two were up for anything I threw at them. Those are the best type of clients. Ones that completely trust. If you go into a shoot with complete trust in your photographer / me I gaurentee you will come away will killer images and memories. I love, love, love it!

Mary + Adam

First things first, this couple was next level sweet. All my couples are so special to me, I think that is one of my favorite parts about this job is the variety of people it exposes me too. However, there are those couples every now and then that have a particularly special story that makes the day so much more meaningful. Marina (Mary) and Adam had gone through a lot as a couple and being there to witness their vows was so touching. Marina is from Russia and her mom was able to fly over to be a part of the wedding.  Even though it was only through actions that I could understand her, it was amazing to see her love she poured out to her daughter and now son-in-law. One particularly touching moment of the day was when Mary’s mom read her toast at the reception – which was later translated. True love was ever so present in that room. A second favorite moment was Mary and Adam’s choreographed first dance – are the kidding? THE sweetest.

Also, if you’re wondering, Wadley Farms is absolute perfection. It’s gorgeous architecture and sweeping grounds make it the perfect backdrop for a gorgeous day.
